Relaxation & Swedish Massage

Performed using firm yet comfortable broad pressure at a very rhythmic pace, most often incorporating the entire body from head to toe. It’s relaxing for the body, mind and spirit.

Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy and Sports Massage

Techniques help clients with specific problem areas, whether due to postural issues, sports or accident related injuries, repetitive strain injuries, or chronic pain and tension. The pressure is generally deeper, working the muscles related to the client’s specific complaints, needs, and goals. Therapists use various body parts to help them manipulate the muscles and connective tissue, as well as static pressure techniques. The session may involve active participation from the client.

Hot Stone Massage

Using hot stones to penetrate into tight muscles encourages a quick relaxation response, inducing a deeply relaxed state of mind. Hot stone is great for relaxing deep problem knots within the neck, shoulders and upper back. (90 minute session)

Lymphatic Massage

Often incorporates essential oils and aroma therapy, with the therapist using precise, light rhythmic strokes in the direction of the body’s lymphatic system. By working with the lymphatic system we can eliminate toxins stuck in the body, encourage a decrease in fluid retention, and provide an overall boost to the immune system.

Prenatal Massage

Designed to help women transition through the pregnancy process as the baby grows and the body becomes uncomfortable. Massages are done using a body pillow with the client lying on her side hugging the pillow between legs and arms so that the spine and hips are properly aligned. Much of the work is concentrated on the low back and hips, as these are often the most uncomfortable areas. As a general rule massage should not be performed prior to the end of your 1st trimester. Please consult with the therapist if you have special needs or concerns.
