Reveal a Smooth Layer of Skin with Microdermabrasion

A Gentle Treatment With Amazing Results

Are you tired of dull looking skin, but don’t know where to start with freshening up? If you want immediate results with no downtime, microdermabrasion is a great solution to give your skin a real wake up call with a long list of benefits!

Microdermabrasion is a gentle treatment that exfoliates, or buffs away your top layer of skin to reveal a smooth, more even-toned, face. Benefits of this treatment include reducing fine lines and wrinkles, sun damage, acne scars, uneven skin tone, hyperpigmentation, melasma, and more. Additionally, microdermabrasion treatments boost collagen production leaving you with plump, youthful skin.

Microdermabrasion is also an ideal skin treatment for the summer months when outdoor activities and spending time out in the sun prevents you from having a laser treatment.

The microdermabrasion procedure can also be used in conjunction with other skin treatments:

  • Before a FotoFacial, to remove dead skin cells. This allows FotoFacial, a light based treatment, to better penetrate and treat the skin.
  • Two to three weeks after a Fraxel laser treatment to remove dead skin cells and prepare your skin for your next laser treatment.
  • After a Skin Peel to remove dead skin cells.

How Does Microdermabrasion Work?

During a microdermabrasion treatment, your provider will use a diamond grit tip to gently exfoliate the top layer of skin (taking dead skin cells, and imperfections with it). Aside from revealing a smooth, fresh layer of skin, this treatment helps boost collagen production to continue improving the skin texture and volume for days after the treatment.

Are There Any Adverse Effects?

Common side effects of microdermabrasion include swelling, redness, and an increased sensitivity to sunlight. These side effects resolve on their own in a few days. Most clients are able to get another microdermabrasion treatment done within 2-4 weeks of their initial appointment if they wish.

Do Microdermabrasion Treatments Hurt?

Microdermabrasion treatments are not painful though clients may feel a sandpaper scratching like sensation during treatment.

Should I Consider An Alternative to Microdermabrasion?

During your consultation, we will determine if microdermabrasion is an appropriate treatment to fulfill your skin goals. Microdermabrasion is a treatment that is suitable for all skin types and skin colors. It can be paired with various facial treatments to level up the results.
